Instructions for recovering Microsoft Word Document

1. Open Microsoft Word on your system by double-clicking the Word icon on your desktop or by going to the Start menu and selecting Programs.
2. Click "File" and then select "Open" on the drop-down menu.
3. Locate the corrupted document on your system and single-click the file to select it.
4. Click the small arrow to the right of the "Open" button.
5. Select the "Open and Repair" option from the list.
6. Wait while the program attempts to repair the file. This may take considerable time depending on the size of the file.
